Obituary of Ralph Raymond Washburn Jr.

Ralph R Washburn Jr of Yuba City,  known as Riff, passed away March 1st, 2024 in Marysville, CA.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on March 22nd, 2024 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Nathan Linehan officiating.  The Church is located at 850 Cooper Ave in Yuba City.

 

Riff was born in Pasadena to Ralph & Evelyn Washburn on October 18th,1939.  He attended Marysville High School and Yuba College before Graduating on what he called a clerical error from San Jose State University.  He met the love of his life Virginia Washburn at San Jose State.  They were married for what would have been 62 years in April.

 

He, along with his brother Byron and father Ralph Washburn Sr, owned Bradley’s Department store which operated for over 80 years.  He served as the President of Marysville Rotary being honored as a Paul Harris Fellow.  He could often be found at Peach Tree Golf & Country Club, where he once served as President.  He served as a Sutter County School Board Member.  He was passionate about Family, Friends, Giving, Dominoes, Golf, 49ers, Kings and the Yuba/Sutter Community where he lived his entire life. 

 

He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph Washburn Sr and Evelyn Washburn. 

 

Riff is survived by his wife Virginia, sons Chris (wife Stephanie), Tim (wife Sheryle), Michael (wife Thuy) and 6 grandchildren, Garrett, Madysen, Nikki, Joey, Tyler and Khai.
